Mike Wendt is Principal Engineer at Accenture Cyber Security Labs in Washington, DC. Since joining Accenture Labs, Mike has led engineering work of big data technologies like Hadoop, Datastax Cassandra, Storm, Spark and others. In addition to his research on optimal Hadoop deployments, Mike has focused on developing new ways of visualizing data and the scalable architectures to support them. His current research revolves around using GPUs for accelerated data visualizations and stream processing in an effort to detect anomalies at scale. Mike holds a BS in computer engineering from University of Maryland College Park.
