We have been continuously reviewing the best ways to serve the information security community over the past few months as the global health situation continues to develop. While we will not be meeting in person, we are moving forward with a plan to transform Black Hat USA into an all-virtual event in order to best serve our community.

We're inspired to adapt Black Hat USA in a virtual format that will be available to our entire global community. Our team is working hard to deliver the same level of high-quality Briefings, Trainings and Business Hall programs that Black Hat attendees have come to expect every year.

We believe in the power of gathering our community to share, inspire, and strengthen our industry and are committed to providing that opportunity in August. We look forward to sharing more information about Black Hat’s virtual event soon.

Following up on my letter from last week, I wanted to post a brief update on Black Hat USA. First and foremost, we remain committed to bringing the community together this August for a week of best-in-class research, Briefings and Trainings.

With plans for live events being altered on a daily basis, Black Hat remains committed to hosting a robust event August 1–6, 2020.

At this moment, we are hard at work building out a virtual option for the core elements of our show and we will provide a digital platform for our Speakers, Trainers and Sponsors this year. To be clear, we will offer a virtual option, whether we are able to present a live event or not.

Details and pricing for our virtual Trainings, Briefings and Business Hall programs are being finalized and will be announced soon.

We continue to monitor key developments in the recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic and will follow the guidance of health officials, the State of Nevada and City of Las Vegas on when events can safely resume. We believe in the power of gathering our community to share, inspire, and strengthen our industry and are committed being that resource in 2020. While we are proceeding with caution towards an in-person event, we are also developing robust digital options in case we need to adjust to circumstances beyond our control. Our goal is to provide the community with the same great research and networking opportunities as we have every year, while adding digital elements to allow our attendees to participate in a way that they are comfortable with.
