Blaine Stancill is a reverse engineer on FireEye's FLARE team. He is a developer for FLARE VM and Commando VM. Previously, Blaine worked as a malware researcher at Endgame and as a security analyst with the Department of Defense. While earning his graduate degree in Computer Science from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, he developed a method for detecting ROP payloads via static memory analysis. He enjoys dissecting malware, specifically obfuscated and hand-written shellcode.
