BLACK HAT Trainings 2014 REGISTRATION TERMS & CONDITIONS

We strongly advise that you print this page and keep a copy for your records.

Once you have completed your registration, please read your Order Confirmation email to ensure correct class registration BEFORE the start of the conference. If you find that you have been registered for the incorrect class, you must contact us by November 21 to make changes (space pending). Class changes will not be accepted after November 21; however, you may ADD a class. Please read the TRAINING CLASS CHANGE REQUEST policy below.


AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT

If you require special assistance, auxiliary aids, interpreters or other reasonable accommodations while participating in the Training(s), please email Michelle Sinisi-Rivera or call 516-607-1508 by October 30, 2014.


BADGES

All persons at the conference must have a badge visible on their person at all times. Spouses, friends, peers, etc. are not granted access to the conference without a badge. If you wish for them to accompany you to any of the conference events including meals, reception, breaks or sessions, you must register them and pay the appropriate fees. Lost, misplaced, stolen or forgotten badges will incur a replacement fee equal to the original purchase amount of your pass. If your badge was complimentary, the fee will be the current, late rate.

Code of Conduct

Black Hat believes our community should be open for everyone. As such, we are committed to providing a friendly, safe and welcoming environment. By participating you agree to abide by the Code of Conduct, which can be viewed here: https://www.blackhat.com/code-of-conduct.html.


Continuing Education Credit

Black Hat provides Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credit for those who are certified through (ISC)2:

You can request CPE credit by entering your certificate number when you register for the course/s. Black Hat will automatically forward your earned CPE credit to (ISC)2 upon completion of the course/s, 30 days after the event has ended.

CPE is a globally recognized standard unit of measure for continuing education for security professionals. Please see (ISC)2 for more information regarding the certification process. Please note Black Hat does not maintain records of earned CPE credits; it is the responsibility of the student to maintain his or her own record.


Invoices

Invoices are auto generated from the system once your registration is completed and paid in full. Invoices will be sent via email to the REGISTRANT'S primary and secondary (if provided) email address.


LETTERS OF INVITATION

If you require a Letter of Invitation to attend this event, please email the Black Hat Registration Team at blackhatregistration@ubm.com to request a letter. Letters of Invitation are usually only required by international attendees who must obtain a visa in order to attend the conference.

Letters of Invitation are only issued in the name of the registrant and only once the registration is fully paid. The letter will be emailed as a pdf.


Minors At The Event

Due to safety concerns, no one under the age of 18 (including infants in strollers) will be permitted at Black Hat Trainings 2014 at any time during the conference.


PAYMENT

Outstanding balances are due at the start of the conference. Admission to Training(s) will not be allowed and registration credentials will not be issued until all fees have been paid in full. Black Hat reserves the right to cancel your Training registration if we do not receive payment by November 21, 2014.

Wire/Bank Transfers: If you are paying by wire transfer, please note that payment in full needs to reach Black Hat no later than November 21, 2014 or your Training registration may be canceled and the seat given to a paid registrant. If a Training course becomes full and a waitlist begins and your Training is unpaid, you will be provided a one-week period to provide payment in full. If payment is not received, your space will be assigned to the first person on the waitlist. You will be notified by email should this happen to provide payment.

Credit Cards: We accept MasterCard, Visa & American Express. All credit cards are processed at the time of your registration.

ALL PAYMENTS ARE DUE BY NOVEMBER 21, 2014 OR YOUR REGISTRATION WILL BE CANCELED. IF YOU ARE REGISTERED FOR A TRAINING CLASS, YOUR SEAT WILL BE RELEASED TO A PAYING DELEGATE.


REFUNDS

Refunds will only be given if a Black Hat Registration Update Form is completed and returned by November 21, 2014. If a Training class is canceled due to a Trainer cancelation, enrollment criteria not being met or other reason, a full refund will be issued in the same manner as the original payment.

Credit Cards: Refunds for credit card payments will only be to the original card charged.

Wires Transfers: Payments made via wire will be refunded via bank wire. Wire refunds will be issued NET 45.

All refund requests must be accompanied by a completed Black Hat Registration Update Form and either a W8 for international bank wires.


SUBSTITUTIONS

Substitutions, including those made on-site, are allowed with the written permission of the original registrant. You may submit your request via e-mail or fax by completing the Black Hat Registration Update Form.

If you find that you have registered yourself for the incorrect class, you must contact us by November 21, 2014 in order for us to move you to the class you originally wanted to be in (space pending). We cannot move you to another class after November 21, 2014.

A substitution is a straight transfer of registration credentials.


Training CERTIFICATES OF COMPLETION

If you do not receive a Training Certificate of Completion, you must request your certificate no later than 48 hours after the end of the conference or you will not receive one. Black Hat does not replace lost, stolen or misplaced Certificates of Completion.


Training CLASS CANCELATIONS BY BLACK HAT

If Black Hat is forced to close a Training class due to low enrollment, you have the following options:

Receive a full refund if you choose to cancel your Training – you will not be assessed an administrative fee.

Move to another class if there is space in the class. You should complete the form that was sent to you via email and return it as directed on the form.

Please note that if the newly selected course is more expensive then you must pay the difference. If the newly selected course is less expensive, you will be given a refund for the difference in the original payment method.


Training CLASS CHANGE REQUEST

If you wish to change classes, you must submit the Black Hat Registration Update Form by November 21, 2014. You will be billed the difference in the class cost. All outstanding fees must be paid in full by November 21, 2014.

If you are owed a refund for the difference of the class cost, you will be sent a refund via the same method of payment.

Class change requests will not be accepted after November 21, 2014.

All trainers are paid per student registered for the class and it would be unfair to the trainers to change their expected enrollment once we have guaranteed them a certain number of students.

You are registered only for the Training class you selected. In order to change classes, you must complete the Training Class Change Request no later than November 21, 2014 space pending. After this date, we cannot change your Training class unless it has been canceled.

Please Email your request to blackhatregistration@ubm.com. Class space for the Training is extremely limited and we have sold out in years past so there is no guarantee that space will be available in the class you are requesting.
