This August, The Black Hat Briefings return to the venerable Caesars Palace Hotel and Casino for
another installment of the premier North American technical information security conference. Every year the lineup of
presentations helps define the security headlines for the following year and 2008 will be no exception.
With more floor space and
a brand new lineup of presentations and tracks, this will be the security event of the year.
As always, your ticket to Black Hat includes free admission to our sister conference DEFCON.
We're happy to announce that Black Hat is returning to Tokyo for another
Black Hat Japan in October 2008. We'll be bringing another strong lineup of
speakers and trainers and the best lineup of technical security
presentations available in Japan. We hope to see you there!

Black Hat returned to Europe with an expanded program with four full tracks, more trainings and more intense, comprehensive presentations on the hottest topics in information security.

Black Hat DC was a great success - this year's presentations featured a strong emphasis on the areas of attacks and wireless security.

Black Hat USA 2008 is still months away, but some of the presentation topics are already beginning to make news. Sherri Sparks and Shawn Embleton are scheduled to demonstrate a new type of rootkit that hides itself in System Management Mode, currently out of reach of the AV products.
The presentation is already sparking interest in places like
Slashdot and
PC World.
